Set Customization

Would you like to create your own personalized set of modified lights? That's certainly possible!

Our products are hand crafted, making miatas all over the world more uniquely beautiful. We keep certain classic combinations in stock, and experiment with new ones.

Below are all currently available possibilites for genuine NB1/NB2 lights :

-> NB1 Headlights :

For projects retaining the OEM reflector bowl :

-Interior Garnish Paint

Typically High Gloss/Satin/Matte/Metallic Black, Gunmetal Grey, Light Grey. Can be color matched to your car, can be partial chrome/black like some special edition NBFLs

-Turn Signal Modification

NB1s come with Orange Turn Signals from the factory. This can be turned chrome, dark tinted chrome, or intense orange for a retro boost. It is also possible to install a small halo in that location

-Custom LED Strips

White/Switchback/RGB Strips can be installed on the Garnish

-Reflector Bowl Tint

A light yellow tint is possible for a retro look

-Brand New Reproduction Lenses

NB1 Miata headlights are now at least 26 years old, even with a full professional restoration, there can be crazing (lens microcracks visible at an angle) or fade (slight white "milk" all over the lenses).

New lenses improve light output and really make the front end of your car "pop", especially with a complex build that features a dark interior and lots of LED lighting

-Restoration + Protection

Lights get damaged from UV exposure, car washes, rocks from the road etc. A multi-stage sanding & polishing procedure restores them to the best condition possible, and a ceramic coating protects them from UV damage for up to a year. This comes in standard if you buy one of our pre-made sets. Additionally, it is possible to opt for a 2K Clear Coating to be performed on the lenses, which can provide protection for multiple years and is especially important on cars that are parked outside in sunny countries!

-Additional Wiring

For example, an easy solution to get power side markers or foglights from your headlights

Extra possibilities if opting for a projector set :

-Projector Size & Type

2.5 Inch is the standard size, provides a nice light beam concentrated where it matters the most. 3 inch is also possible, makes your Miatas eyes appear "bigger" and provides a wider light beam that is more useful on a wide highway or country road. 3 inch limits shroud possibilites drastically

Types include Bi-Xenon and Bi-LED projectors.

Bi-Xenon provides the best light output and is easily serviceable as lamps and ballasts can be swapped out within minutes. You can choose between different leves of ballast power and color temperature

Bi-LED provides a good upgrade over the stock halogen lighting. They're sealed units, so it is not possible to alter their power/light color without replacing the whole projector

-Projector Shroud & Halo

This is the cover that goes around the projector. The basic option is round, however there are also options such as square, oval, bmw style etc.

Can be had in Chrome, Black or a custom color

These can then be matched to a White/RGB with dynamic effects Round/Hexagon Halo, or a shroud that has built-in halos in BMW style, 3D Crystal style etc

-Projector Lens

Clear Lenses are standard, can be upgraded to ones with Blue AR Coating for a blue/purple tint on the glass and a more modern look, or ones etched with a hexagon pattern

-Projector Tint

The interior of the projectors can be customized to the color of your liking. Affects the perceived color of the projector lens from certain angles and when the lights are on, light output is not affected. Typically Blue/Teal/Dark Purple/Yellow

-Devil Eye

Additional lighting inside of the projector, to be used as parking lights/DRLs. Options include a solid LED color or RGB with dynamic effects

-> NB2 Headlights :

-Interior Garnish Paint

Various options. Typically High Gloss/Satin/Matte/Metallic Black, Gunmetal Grey, Light Grey. Can be color matched to your car, can be partial chrome/black like some special edition NBFLs

-Halos & Types

Space in the NB2 headlight is limited, options include Round, Round Angry Style, Hexagon in White or RGB

-Devil Eye

Additional lighting inside of the projector, to be used as parking lights/DRLs. Options include a solid LED color or RGB with dynamic effects

-Turn Signal Modification

NB2s come with chrome turn signals and orange bulbs as standard. It is possible to tint them dark, orange or install a small halo in that position

-Custom LED Strips

White/Switchback/RGB Strips can be installed on the Garnish

-Restoration + Protection

Lights get damaged from UV exposure, car washes, rocks from the road etc. A multi-stage sanding & polishing procedure restores them to the best condition possible, and a ceramic coating protects them from UV damage for up to a year. Additionally, it is possible to opt for a 2K Clear Coating to be performed on the lenses, which can provide protection for multiple years and is especially important on cars that are parked outside in sunny countries!

-Reflector Bowl Tint

It is possible to tint the high beam section yellow, for a retro look. Also possible to black them out, only suitable for builds with a projector upgrade that has high beam functionality!

-Projector Upgrade

Late model nbfl headlights can have their halogen projectors upgraded to bi-xenon or bi-led. (H7 Low Beam Type)

While led/xenon drop-in kits are available for the stock projectors, light pattern and output are not optimal. Typically there is scatter towards oncoming drivers and a lot of foreground light, limiting visibility where it actually matters, far down the road. Plus, the oem projector only functions as low-beam, upgrades feature a shutter which makes them serve as high beams as well.

-Brand New Reproduction Lenses

NB2 Miata headlights are now at least 21 years old, even with a full professional restoration, there can be crazing (lens microcracks visible at an angle) or fade (slight white "milk" all over the lenses)

New lenses improve light output and really make the front end of your car "pop", especially with a complex build that features a dark interior and lots of LED lighting

-Additional Wiring

For example, an easy solution to get power side markers or foglights from your headlights

-> NB1/2 Taillights :

-Interior Paint

The interior chrome can be customized, typically the turn signal and reverse/foglight sections can be tinted darker for a more aggressive look, other options include red or orange

-Foglight Lens

European Taillights come with a rear foglight inside of the lights, making them non-symmetrical. It is possible to remove that and replace it with a red bulb instead for a JDM/USDM symmetrical look

-Halo Installation

Round Halo which can be customized to the shape of your liking. For example, "Angry Style" or cross.

Usually solid which acts as DRL, other options include switchback halos that also function as turn signals, or RGB Halos with full control over hue/intensity and modes such as welcome animation, spinning etc.

-Custom LED Strips

Extra LED strips can be installed on the brake portion of the taillights, usually functioning as DRLs, brake lights, or even switchback turn signals

-Additional Wiring

Extra wiring can be included to make your project easier, e.g. Side Marker or Reversing camera installation
